Mother Tree Salve - Piñon & Vitamin C balm - Soothing and Drawing - Organic, Wildcrafted
With this salve, nutrient-rich botanicals and pine resin nourish and regenerate the skin, like how a Mother Tree sustains a forest. Use on the face, hands, or any place that needs tending.
Mother Trees, also known as hub trees, stand as the tallest and oldest trees in a forest ecosystem. Research shows how these trees send out nutrients and information through their roots and mycelial networks to sustain and protect their neighboring arboreal kin.
My most beloved Mother Tree towers above as an Eastern Hemlock (tsuga canadensis) in an old growth forest. For this salve, I harvested needles from this tree, which provide high amounts of Vitamin C as well as other phytonutrients that nourish and protect the skin. Alongside these needles, I added Pine resin for its regenerative capacity and ability to draw out anything that's unwanted. Then to top it off, Calendula and Plantain work together as some of the most gentle yet nourishing plants, used for centuries as topical remedies.
High in vitamin C, carotenoids (plant-based retinols), and other phytonutrients-nutrients, this salve is intended to soothe and nourish the skin while also acting as a gentle drawing agent with the help of Pine Resin and Plantain. The scent is earthy, grounding, and gentle, mostly with hints of pine, so it is suitable for scent-sitive folks, too.
This balm is great for the face-- apply while the skin is moist for maximum absorption-- and to carry around for any skin that needs TLC. Plus, the piney scent is grounding and easeful. Draw in the power of the Mother Tree wherever you may go.
(Note- sometimes, especially if skin is very dry, cracked, and not absorbing well, a little bit of green tint might remain from the salve. (This mainly happens with the hands.) You can think of the residual color like a nutritious face mask for your skin (with tons of chlorophyll & phytonutrients) that will eventually seep in. But if you prefer this not to happen, try moistening the hands slightly before applying for maximum absorption!)

PLEASE NOTE: Although I always try for a perfect pour, your salve may arrive with fine bubbles atop that might look like a slight film. This happens due to pouring at a cooler temperature. This is completely normal and the imperfection can simply be wiped away; the integrity and quality of the salve is not compromised!
