Hemlock Evergreen Jojoba Oil: Organic Anointing Serum for Face, Beard, Hair & Body

from $15.94
In Alchemy, the aromatic oil of a plant is likened to its soul. This resonates as the aroma of an oil connects us to the heart of an herbal ally.

Formulated for sensitive bodies and senses, this oil, like the rest of my Soul oils, is simple: only organic, cold-pressed Jojoba oil from Arizona potently infused with one, honorably-harvested herb.

Hemlock* soul features (Tsuga canadensis) needles collected from old growth forests in my homelands of Pennsylvania and New York. (*This evergreen tree is in no way related to poison hemlock.)

We use a tried & true extraction process so this oil is as potent as possible without the use of essential oils, while also being very shelf stable. Look at the dark green color of this oil compared to other herbal oils on the market, and you will know that this oil was made with skill and care.

Infused into Arizona cold-pressed jojoba oil, this oil can be used on the face, hair, beard, and body. It’s nutrient rich, non-comedogenic, and gentle for sensitive & acne-prone skin. Hemlock needles are high in Vitamin C, so this oil makes a great facial serum while also connecting you to this supportive ally!

This oil invites you into the sanctuary of a hemlock grove, so you may know the mysteries of what’s within you and what the earth contains. The scent connects above with below-- an evergreen aroma that’s bright, grounding, and lingering.

hemlock plant ally: supportive, encourages reflection, beckons mystery

With only oak, maple, and beech, the sunlight streams through, bright and effervescent. But here we go deeper into the wood, where feathery hemlocks grow. Their shade provides shelter and space for roots to fractal wide. These trees provide an understory where the light dims, beckoning something mysterious.

In this way, hemlock encourages us to not look up and out, but to reflect inward, to confront the mystery within. They open their soft, fern-like branches in an embrace that encourages somatic safety. They create sanctuary. And with this ally, we feel comfortable to go to the edge of our comfort zone. We know and trust that their presence will provide wings if we fall.

Take time, oil your body from temple to toe. What has been pushed aside? What tendrils stretch out from your body towards other beings and things, and how can you tend to them? What immensity exists, breathing, here?
