Snowdrops, re-emerge

a flower essence of snowdrops being made with quartz crystal

A Snowdrop essence in process. Normally I don’t photograph essences in the making, but Snowdrop asked to be seen.

The sap begins to rise in the trees, and here in New York, the first inklings of Spring arrive with the re-emergence of Snowdrops.

The essence of this flower offers us the courage to bloom, despite the coldness in our bones and veils of resistance we've burrowed into through the Winter. They inspire in us the powerful strength of softness: to be supple enough to bear the weight of the snow and to be able to foster enough inner warmth to withstand it. This medicine is ideal for transitions- through gender, accepting death, and the seasonal stages of life. Snowdrop is an indispensable ally to help us make important changes, to break through old and habitual ways of being so we can bloom into the fullness of our potential.  Paired with Clear Quartz, this vibrational remedy makes the way to offer us crystal clarity and unhindered inner vision.

You may receive the medicine of this flower simply by spending time with it in meditation, or by taking the essence as a vibrational remedy.  The essence of this dear flower is within my Dare to Bloom essence.

Nonetheless, I am also here re-emerging with the snowdrops, since I haven't written to you since November!  Since then, I have released my first album, Wolf Cry, and have updated my Apothecary shop with some beautiful new offerings.

Album Art by Lauren Stenger

Wolf Cry CD by Jordann Funk
$9.94
This listing is for a Limited Edition Compact Disc of my LP, Wolf Cry. It comes with a free digital download code for the album as well.

The CD comes in a plastic-free Eco Wallet, with front cover art by Lauren Stenger and additional photography by me. A "Conception Story" about each song is written within the cover, and the wolf Nikai from the Wolf Conservation Center is featured on the disc itself. On the track "Wolf Cry", Nikai and the wolves from the center are featured howling!

Wolf Cry released New Year's Day 2020. The work of this album is to help heal the grief felt for and with the Earth in the wake of modern environmental neglect. Through listening, we're led into the tenacious heart of the natural world, which empowers us to use our gifts to fight for justice and heal ancestral & earthen wounds. The lyrics seed and sprout from the Earth, and field recordings from the forest immerse the listener into the wild.

ABOUT MY MUSIC

As a self-taught musician, Jordann Funk embraces the realm of intuitive folk-- using unusual tunings, chords, and melodies to bring her songs to life. Her vocals are candid yet otherworldly, transporting the listener to a place of reflection. She often feels she's channeling natural forces in her music, lending them a voice so they may be heard.

“The voice of an angelic changeling combined with an ancient ancestor- free and wild, untamed and pure. An intrinsic and natural musical style, still like nothing I've quite ever heard.” - Eden Page

You can listen to my music via https://jordannfunk.bandcamp.com/ , or search "Jordann Funk" on any streaming service you might use.
